20+ YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY
I started in workwear manufacturing at 23 years old. I didn't walk in through the front office — I came up through the factory floor. I learned how garments are cut, how seams are joined, which materials hold and which ones don't, and why certain stitching fails six months into a job.
Over the next two decades, I moved through every part of the industry. Production. Materials sourcing. Garment construction. Quality control. I worked alongside the people building the product and the people wearing it. I saw what worked. I saw what didn't. And I saw what most brands would rather you didn't notice.
WHAT I SAW
"The gap between what gets produced and what workers actually need — I've watched it grow for twenty years."
Weak seams that split under real load. Stitching that unravels within months. Fabrics that looked solid on the spec sheet but couldn't handle a full shift. Fits designed by someone who'd never worn the garment on an actual job.
And I saw the decisions behind all of it. Corners cut to hit a price point. Materials swapped late in production. Quality checks that were more paperwork than practice. It wasn't carelessness — it was a system built to prioritise margin over the person wearing the gear.
THE TURNING POINT
There was no single moment. It was the accumulation of twenty years of the same problems showing up in different factories, different brands, different categories — but always the same compromises. The same shortcuts. The same gap between what was promised and what was delivered.
I knew exactly what the problems were, I knew where they came from, and I knew how to fix them. The only thing left to do was build something from scratch — without the compromises baked in from the start.
That's DFP Workwear.
WHAT WE STAND FOR

BUILT FROM EXPERIENCE
DFP isn't built on assumptions about what workers need. It's built on knowing — from handling the materials, from understanding the construction, from watching what fails and understanding exactly why it fails.
Every product decision we make is grounded in that experience. We're not guessing. We're not trend-chasing. We're solving problems we've seen firsthand, with solutions that come from the inside of the industry — not from the outside looking in.
NO SHORTCUTS
"I've seen every shortcut in this industry. I know exactly what they cost."
We use the right materials. We use proper construction methods. We don't swap specs to hit a lower price point. If a garment can't be built to the standard we've set, we don't build it.
